The death toll from a mudslide in western Colombia has risen to 34, authorities have reported.

The mudslide struck a active municipal highway on Friday in a mountainous spot connecting the towns of Quibdó and Medellín.

Previously, Colombian vice-president Francia Márquez mentioned in a concept posted on the social network X that a lookup ongoing “for individuals who remain trapped beneath the landslide.” She said several small children have been between the victims, but gave no amount.
